Interested in joining the Peace Rose Montessori School?


The Peace Rose Montessori School carefully chooses its staff to ensure the safety of children who are  enrolled in our learning center. We make use of a meticulous screening  process which involves:


  • Reference Checks via Phone or Email
  • Personal and Panel Interviews
  • Criminal Background Checking
  • Physical Health Check

Upon being hired into the staff, all employees will be subjected to  periodic Employee Performance Reviews. This is to ascertain that the  quality of educational programs we provide to our students are  maintained throughout the school year.

While our hiring procedure and employee retention may be rigid, our  employees are warm and caring individuals. We always look for potential  candidates who will share our love for teaching and nurturing young  minds. Faculty members at The Peace Rose Montessori School will also work collaboratively with parents throughout the school year.

Current Open Positions:

Infant/Toddler Teacher, (preferably Montessori Certified or open to get training)

The Peace Rose Montessori School is seeking an AMS/AMI or MACTE accredited Montessori certified teacher in 0-3. If not Montessori certified, must have at least 2 years of experience working in a Montessori environment and/or with children under 3 years old.

Responsibilities and qualifications include but are not limited to:

   

  • Help with the transition of traditional infant/toddler program to Montessori
  • Assist in training staff in the Montessori Method, if certified
  • A passion and love for the nurturing of children 
  • Experience working with younger children and/or babies
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Updating Transparent Classroom Communication app
  • Classroom management skills  Creating and maintaining a clean and prepared environment 
  • Ability to adapt to various learning styles and personalities
  • Patience and kindness  Good rapport with students, their families and co-workers   
  • Multitasking skills and flexibility in a quickly changing environment 


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred  
  • Required: AMS/AMI certification, or any MACTE certified Montessori Certification plus 2 years experience in Montessori infant/toddler programs if certification is for a different age group
  • Will consider Non-Montessori certified teacher with at least 2 years experience with infant/toddlers and open to taking Montessori Course 
  • Pay is based on education and experience.
  • Part-time Fulltime 
  •  Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Infant/Toddler Daycare Assistant

Looking for a loving and nurturing individual that enjoys spending time with babies and young toddlers


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 


  •  Comforting, engaging, and playing with the children

P-3 Certified Preschool Teacher

 Our school is a family that values everyone, parents, teachers, and students alike and we work together for the success of the children in our programs. The Preschool Teacher has major responsibility for all classroom operations including, planning, carry out activities, maintaining the classroom environment, supervising children, parent/teacher conferences, and supervision of classroom volunteers and teacher assistant This position is for the 2022-2023 school year.
 

Responsibilities:   


  • A love of working with children is a must.
  • Patience, caring, and kindness are required traits for Peace Rose staff
  • Able to lift a child approximately 40lbs several times a day if needed
  • Physical ability to sit on the floor with children when needed
  • Manage classroom operations; provide supervision, guidance, coaching and evaluation of Teacher Assistants and classroom volunteers according to program schedule, policies, and procedures
  • Plan and provide a comprehensive program including implementation Tools of the mind Curriculum 
    Confers with students and parents to foster a constructive student-teacher and parents
  • Maintain ongoing professional and appropriate communication with parents
  • Work in a team setting with all staff to determine individual needs of children
  • Design and implement plans that will expose children to meaningful experiences
  • Participate in curriculum development and recommend necessary changes
  •  Assists in curriculum development and in the selection of material , equipment and other instructional materials.
  • Facilitate Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • Displays respect towards the rights and feelings of students, thereby encouraging students to develop attitudes of respect for the rights, feelings, opinions, and property of others
  • Conduct parent/teacher conferences with each child's according to program schedule, policies and procedures
  • Greet parents and children pleasantly and appropriately, ensuring a smooth transition into the classroom, a positive home-classroom connection, and a family partnership
  • Responsible for Lesson Planning, Maintaining Classroom Environment, Supervising Children and providing guidance and direction to meet the individual needs of children 
  • Assists in curriculum development and in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials. Works toward professional growth and meets the role model standards of a professional educator
  • Provide activities parents can do at home with their children to support the curriculum and the child's learning
  • Encourage parents to become involved in workshops, training and other Head Start activities
  • Adheres to and promotes the philosophy and objectives of the school, the administrative staff and the Board of Education and interprets the policies and program of the school in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Consult regularly with parents and appropriate service providers, consultants, and staff regarding child developmental concerns
  • Implements by instruction and action the school’s philosophy and the State and School's instructional goals. Ensures satisfactory pupil progress and growth toward stated objectives of instruction.


    Qualifications:
     
  •  P-3 Teacher Certification. (CEAS or Standard)
  • BA/BS in Early Childhood Education preferred or in a related field with at least 6 credits in Early Childhood Education plus experience working with preschool children.
  • Knowledgeable in Tools of the Mind curriculum.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.


     Job Type: Full-time

             Salary based on experience and education 
            Compensation: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Director Assistant

  

Seeking an individual with strong communication, team building, and organizational skills to assist the school director. Our school is built on the idea that the people we work with, co-workers, students, and their families are our families. We sometimes spend more time at work then at home, so we thrive in supporting each other like family. We value our employees input in making decisions for our business. 

  • Responsibilities include
  • Learning and helping maintain the policies of Peace Rose Montessori
  • Assist with daily operations such as checking students in and out
  • Assisting in the classrooms as needed. 
  • Keeping track of school needs such as toiletries and supplies
  • Helping train new staff
  • Maintain staff schedule and keep track of days off and coverage\
  • Help teachers with curriculum and classroom prep
  • Observation of classrooms
  • Plan school activities
  • Take care of administrative duties such as answering the phone, making calls to potential customers
  • Assuring all childcare licensing documentation and procedures are up to date
  • Coordinate special school events such as school portraits, extracurricular activities, and others
  • Assists Director in planning staff development activities and coordinates staff community building activities
  • Sending notifications to staff and parents regarding snow days, school closing reminders, and other updates
  • Conducting school tours with potential customers
  • Must enjoy working with children and possess patience and nurturing skills for children ages 0 to 6 years old



Physical Demands Sitting, walking, standing. 


Lifting and carrying children and/or furniture up to 25lbs.

Pay is based on education and experience. A person with school administration experience is preferred. The right candidate will be trained on the job if needed as long as the desire to work with children is present. 

This is a full time, year-round job. 
Schedule varies from 7am to 1:30am and/or 11:30am to 6pm. 
Individual must be flexible.


  • Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
